About us
We are Pauline and Dirk, and cats have always been a part of our lives. We are originally from the Netherlands, where Pauline's mum had been breeding pedigree Birmans since the seventies. When we migrated to Australia as a young couple in 1992, two of our Birman girls came with us, and we started breeding Birmans of our own shortly afterward under the cattery name Kwinana.
Our cats have been a part of our family through every stage of our lives, from moving across the world, to buying our first house, raising children, moving to Queensland and finally settling in Tasmania.
It was here in Tasmania that Pauline finally decided to start breeding Siberians. We were introduced to the breed through Marie of Miakoschka in the early 2000s, who was breeding Birmans at the time when she imported the very first Siberians into Australia. Since then we have fallen in love with the Siberian's gorgeous temperament, history and of course its looks too. We were fortunate enough to get our beautiful foundation girl, Duchess, from Karen Blake of Palazzo Siberians here in Hobart, and her progeny are continuing to delight us.
We are a small boutique Siberian breeder near Hobart, Tasmania, focusing on breeding the beautiful Siberian for type and temperament. We specialise in the traditional colours of brown, golden and silver tabbies, but might occasionally have reds and blues as well. We do not breed the colour point variant called Neva Masquerade. We are not a big breeder and will only have a few babies each year, but if you are interested please feel free to contact us.
